Booked Freebird for a last minute fishing charter and we could NOT be happier! Kids were fishing newbies and we caught 56 trout in 2 hours and learned a lot. Great people with a sense of hospitality and camaraderie. Even told us where to eat. They know the waters, the times, and are great to work with. Book them for a FANTASTIC fishing experience no matter your knowledge level!

Captain John and his crew took my son and I on a 4 hour trip. We came in after 3 hours because we were tired. Tired of reeling in fish if you can believe that. We caught so many fish we couldn’t count them. It was a great time and enjoyed the conversation with the crew. Don’t look any further. Book your trip.

I can’t praise these guys enough… I was taking my 3 boys fishing and was a little worried about their ages and being able to juggle helping all 3 of them. They took very good care of us, kept the boys attention, and helped them the whole time. I can’t recommend these guys enough! Thank you for the awesome experience and hospitality. Not to mention the 80 trout we caught in 3 hours! We will def be calling yall again. See you in in October!

Great experience fishing with Captain John and his team. They were very knowledgeable about where to catch fish, they worked hard to make sure we had bait on our hooks and if the fish weren’t biting we boogied off to a new spot. We also enjoyed chatting with Captain John and his deckhand….i believe his name was Kyle. They were a fun crew. We will definitely be booking with Freebird again next year when we return to Gulf Shores!

Free bird charters are amazing to fish with. We had such a fun trip and caught a lot of fish. Chastity is so much fun as the deck hand although she is a captain. she deck hands with John. They know how to find the fish. They are great with families who want to fish. We took our cooler and some snacks and had a blast!

We booked a 4 hour trip for sheepshead for my wife, 2 kids and myself. We had an absolutely amazing day. Capt John put us on the fish from the first cast to the end. He poked fun and treated us just like family which is exactly the way we hoped it would be. I absolutely recommend Freebird Charters and plan to use them several times in the future.
